Baked Indian Sweet Potato Fries (Vegan)

Fries don’t have to be always a potato. And does not always have to be fried and high on salt. I think commercial fries are too salty only because that’s the most prominent flavour. These babies are sweet potato, baked with 1tbsp oil, and flavoured with Indian spices. The recipe itself is embarassingly simple. It’ll blow you away…



Wedge sweet potato or cut into sticks to resemble fries. Toss with salt, chilli powder, Garam Masala, 1tbsp oil. Literally that’s it…

Bake @ 200C for around 25 mins. Toss once in the middle so they cook evenly. Bake till crisp and charred at the edges. Serve with Green chutney or ketchup.

NOTE: If you are having guests, put them in glasses and dot them around the living room and dining area for people to pick on


They are vegan and absolutely guilt free.. not that any thing we choose to eat should ever make us feel guilty. But you know what I mean.. 🙂
